What is letterpress?
Letterpress printing is a form of relief printmaking. Lead or wood type or other printing blocks are inked up and then pressed into the paper (meet the presses). This method creates a small impression in the paper, as well as minor inconsistencies and blemishes due to the process and/or the materials themselves. That's how you know it's human-made!
